2 Chronicles 31:10 (NKJV)

90 Day Challenge (Day 3)

Topic: Our Action Of Giving Activates The Provision In Abundance

Plan For The New Testament In 90 Days

Mathew 10-11

Bible Versions:

2 Chronicles 31:10 (MSG) ― 10 Azariah, chief priest of the family of Zadok, answered, “From the moment of this huge outpouring of gifts to The Temple of God, there has been plenty to eat for everyone with food left over. God has blessed his people—just look at the evidence!”

2 Chronicles 31:10 (NIV) ― 10 and Azariah the chief priest, from the family of Zadok, answered, “Since the people began to bring their contributions to the temple of the Lord, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare, because the Lord has blessed his people, and this great amount is left over.”

Thoughts Of Devotion:

It’s a fact, when God’s people are generous in their giving, God provides abundantly! We must understand that for God, it is not difficult to bless His people, or provide the provision we need. On the contrary, the Lord desire to bless our lives, and to provide not just the necessary, but for his blessings to overflow in our lives. In Proverbs 3: 9-10, His promise is, ” Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.”

The result of giving God is that we will achieve to see and experience personally the heavens opened over our lives. The gates of heaven will be continuously be open on our lives, and his blessings will overflow as it is declared Malachi 3:10, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.” How clear His word speaks to us this morning, How Easy It is to live under God’s blessings over our lives!

All it takes is to put action to his promise. If we do this, we trust that in time we will see the abundance of his blessing on our life, our family and finances. The danger is when we turn away from him, and then as a result cease to experience the abundance of bread. We see this in the parable of the prodigal son, when he stopped obeying his Father, the consequences were shortages of bread. In Luke 15:17 it tells us, “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!”

Today there is no reason why we should starve, when there is plenty of bread in the house of the Lord. His Word does not lie, it is fulfilled in us when we place our trust on it. On this day it is time to experience an abundance of supply. Remember the promise of Psalm 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.” Thank God for the opened heavens that those that have taken this challenge to be faithful to Him in our giving have. Hallelujah!
