Malachi 3:10 (MSG)— 10 Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.
Malachi 3:10 (NLT) — 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
Malachi 3:10 (NIV) — 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Thoughts Of Devotion:
Today God challenges us to test His overabundant supply. God Himself challenges us and says to us, try me and see if you have not been blessed! His promise is that He will open the windows of heaven. If we just take a step of faith and we take a risk, He will never fail. His promises are legitimate, and certainly we can put all our trust in Him. In Haggai 1: 9 it tells us, “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. “
It is important to recognize that when you put the provision of the house of God in priority, then we will undoubtedly see the exceeding provision in our home, family and business. It was the author Mathew Henry who said, “God reminds us over and over that God cannot be outdone in generosity, and all who have ‘tested’ God have gone to be well pleased.” God is a debtor to no one, he always knows how to bless and take care of those who trust in him. In Matthew 6:33 He tells us, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
I ask you, are you willing to test God in this challenge? Not for a moment doubt that God is able to meet each of your needs. All He asks of us is to take the test! It is only determined in your life when you offer to God the honest tithing of everything he has entrusted in your hands. When we do this, the windows of heaven are opened and His blessings are poured on us. His promise in Deuteronomy 28:2 becomes a reality, “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Believe that this is the time of God for his miraculous provision over your life.
Ezekiel 34:26 (NKJV) — 26 I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.
Deuteronomy 28:2 (NKJV) — 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
Nehemiah 13:12 (NKJV) — 12 Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the storehouse. Malachi 3:7 (NKJV) — 7 Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the Lord of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’
Haggai 2:19 (NKJV) — 19 Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.’”
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) — 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
