Thoughts Of Devotion:
This morning the Lord calls us to evaluate our walk and carefully see what we have achieved in our walk with God. In Psalm 90:12, it says, “So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” By doing this I think we must ask, How much have we achieved? And how much more do we have to achieve? Let us think, 262 days of the year have passed, and a quarter of the year has already passed. It is very important to examine what we have done with this time that God has given us.
We must realize that God has already given us the gift of time. The hours and days are a special gift we have from God. But the purpose of time is that we can redeem it and get the most use! In Ephesians 5: 15-16 He declares, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” God has not called us to regret, finishing another year complaining about not seeing the goals and resolutions achieved that we set at the beginning of 2015.
Today we can reach forward and continue the great plans God already prepared beforehand for each of us.We must pray that the Lord show us the great need to progress and move towards for what remains for us this year2015.If we take this decision, surely God will have great and wonderful things prepared beforehand for our lives. As1 Corinthians 2:9 says ” But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of manThe things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV) — 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NKJV) — 8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—
2 Corinthians 12:10 (NKJV) — 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV) — 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
