In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.

Thoughts of Devotion:
What great mercy the Lord has demonstrated towards us. The expression of mercy that God has towards us is incomparable. His mercy is unique and special. The Dictionary Of Theology defines mercy as, “the goodness and love of God for the guilty and miserable. Including mercy, compassion, gentleness, and patience” we are the guilty and miserable! We qualify to receive of his mercy today. The Psalmist declares it this way, “Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth? He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,”(Psalms 113:5-7)
We are grateful to have a God so full of mercy and compassion. As we come before his presence, it is a great blessing to understand that we can enter through his unmerited mercy. In Hebrews 4:16 he expresses this invitation, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Today God tells us, come near my presence! Receive of my mercy and grace for your life. Even when we have failed and we feel unworthy and inadequate to come before his altar, He makes us an invitation to receive of his unmerited grace. None of us are worthy! It is only by his mercy that we stand.
It is when we understand this truth of his great mercy that we are able to raise our worship and praise to Him. A genuine perfume of worship for he who is worthy of all glory and honor! Thank God for his mercy towards our lives, today we lift our hands and our hearts in gratitude to Him. “I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your loving-kindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.” (Psalms 138:2). That we will never forget to worship him for his abundant mercies towards us, the moment that we take it for granted, our worship to Him will cease.
Psalms 69:13 (NKJV) — 13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, in the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, Hear me in the truth of Your salvation.

Psalms 51:1 (NKJV) — 1 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your loving kindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.
Psalms 52:8 (NKJV) — 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
