See The Glory Of God

Topic: Faith Is Needed To See God’s Glory

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

John 11:40 (NKJV)

Daily Reading Plan

Jeremiah 34-37

Bible Versions:

John 11:40 (AMP) — Jesus said to her, Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?

John 11:40 (MSG) – Jesus looked her in the eye. “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

Devotional Thought:

We Serve A God who is attributed all glory and honor in scripture. There is no God like our God! He is The King of Glory, Incomparable and Powerful. I get ministered very much by the expression of King David in Psalm 24:7-8, “Lift up, O gates, your heads, And be ye lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle”. His glory is incomparable and unlimited! When the Lord decides to manifest his glory among his people, supernatural miracles occur.

In today’s text we see how Jesus worked one of the most astonishing miracles in the New Testament. With his authority and glory, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. His glory was manifested and as a result an extraordinary miracle occurred! Everything change the moment the glory of God was manifested, we see that from a funeral service, God brings festivity and celebration. This is what the glory of God provokes when manifested among us. It changes our sadness into joy and our mourning into dancing! We must prepare ourselves today for the radical change that the glory of God will bring to us in the midst our crises and impossibility.

Today, it is essential to understand that there are bad things that happen to us, that at the end of the day will give glory to God. As John 11:4 tells us, “When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” I wonder, are we ready to witness this glory? Do we have the faith to see His glory manifested among us? If something is going to be required, it’s a simple faith, but mighty in God. Let us pray that today we may obtain the faith to see the glory of God in the midst of our situation. You have to believe with all your heart that this is the day that God will manifest His glory in our lives.
