God’s promise for us today, is that He will give us a heart that will know Him more and more every day. A heart that will know Him in an intimate and personal way. The Prophet Jeremiah gives us this promise, “but this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law in their minds, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their God and they shall be my people”(Jeremiah 31:33). God desires to write His laws in our minds and hearts! Today God is waiting for us to respond to His stirring in our hearts, to seek Him and draw nearer unto Him.
I wonder, are we ready to respond to God’s call to seek Him today? Once again the Lord calls us to return to His feet. His call is for all of us, but especially for those who have gone astray and do not know Him. In Isaiah 55:7, we are instructed to say, “Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly forgive”. How precious that God is so abundantly and gives plenty of room to receive His forgiveness! No need to stay in our state of coldness and indifference, it only takes for us to respond to his call.
We are called to be the people of God. We are His special people and chosen by Him for His glory to experience His presence daily. The Lord promises that if we would only seek Him, He would be ready to meet us. In Jeremiah 29:13 the Lord says, “if you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”. Let us pray that we may have an ear to hear the voice of the Lord in our lives this morning. May we experience a fresh visitation and powerful presence upon our lives.
