Through history the Cross has possessed an ability to attract the soul of he who is lost and hopeless. The Cross of Jesus has come to be a symbol of hope and love to humanity. The Cross attracts hope to everyone! The Cross does not have an exclusive purpose but a universal one, in Revelation 5:9 the Apostle John declares that through the blood of Jesus every tribe and people will be redeemed, “and sang a new song, saying , you are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation”.
Thank God that through the Cross we have received hope and security. It was through the death of Jesus that today we can look towards our future with anticipation, knowing that He has our tomorrow in his hands. It is for this reason that we must always be thankful to God that one day his great love and mercy brought us to Him. Through His sacrifice on the Cross we experience hope and peace today. The Cross of Jesus has been the most powerful and sovereign attraction that has ever exercised over the human will.
The cross has been a divine magnet for all humanity through history. Jesus was lifted up on the Cross, and as a result we all have the opportunity to experience a genuine security and hope. Jesus was supremely exalted by the Father, Philippians 2:9 tells us, “Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. “Today we have hope through the Cross. No reason for living without hope, and disillusioned! Christ is our eternal hope, through Him we enjoy an abundant life. A life full of peace and security!
