Devotional Thoughts:

This morning, if we are really honest, how many of us need to experience a time of refreshing and revival? A special visitation of God’s presence! An outpouring of His glory in our lives, family and church. This is the best that can happen to us, I believe it’s what we most urgently need. Let the heavens be open, and God pour His glory to refresh our thirsty souls! When this happens, His presence will renew us and his glory will bring healing and health to our being, as indicated in Proverbs 3:8, “It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.”

It is important to recognize that this will not happen until there is a genuine repentance in our being. May we turn from our wicked ways and manage to demonstrate the fruit of repentance in our lives. The key words are, “Repent and be converted” which literally means, “turn over, or become.” We must understand that it is not only to confess our faults and sins to the Lord, but it will require a total and radical change in our conduct and character! Of not going back continually to the same habits, the same bondages, and sins.

We will have to cease doing things that are not pleasing to the Lord, leaving our wicked ways! Let’s remember what 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us, “ if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” God promises to forgive, His love and mercy are available to us today. It is possible to experience times of refreshing, glory and blessing! But the first step is a genuine repentance in our hearts.
