Psalm 85:6 (AMP) Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?

Thoughts Of Devotion:

We must understand that revival and restoration will only come when we yearn and desire to see a move of God wholeheartedly. There must be a hunger and ambition for the Lord to give us life again. We must recognize that without yearning and searching for His presence, there can be no revival in our midst! It will only happen when there is a burning desire to see God move in our lives. We should pray the words of the Prophet Daniel, “Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications; and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake “(Daniel 9:17).

The psalmist asks the question, Lord will you not revive us again? Is it possible to experience a genuine and sincere revival? This is a question that showed the great longing and desire that the Psalmist demonstrated in his heart to experience a personal revival in his life. He had gone through many troubles or evils, and now declared, “You who have shown me great and sore troubles, restore my life, and bring me up again from the depths of the earth” (Psalm 71:20). The Psalmist was desired for God to return and give it life to him once again. This should also be our desire!

As we read this, we must yearn to have a genuine revival in our hearts. From the depths of our being there should be a cry to the Lord, Lord Revive me! I seek to see your glory and presence in my life, like never before. That in our hearts we may have this same prayer, “O God, restore us; Let your face to shine, and we shall be saved “(Psalm 80:3). Pray today that God will restore us, revive us! We recognize that He has the power and the ability to completely renew us today, if only we desire this with all our heart and soul.

Psalm 80:18 (NKJV) Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.

Daniel 9:17 (NKJV) Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate.

Hosea 6:1-2 (NKJV) 6 Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. 2 After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.

  1. If we truly disguise to be revived in the Lord we must worship and cry out to God. We must have a disguise to serve him and have thing like before. When we began. So we must be revived for we can go back to the same state of worshiping God.
